The Hotel’s restaurant offers delicious home-made food prepared by our chefs and holds a coveted AA Rosette. Dinners are served from Tuesday to Saturday inclusive.

In our elegant dining room you can take breakfast at your leisure. We are particularly proud of our breakfast. Choose from our buffet table freshly-squeezed orange juice, a selection of cereals including home-made muesli or stewed fruits. Cooked breakfasts include, the ubiquitous full English breakfast, a Derbyshire breakfast, smoked kippers or haddock from the Summer Isles Smokehouse. Our toast is made from home-baked bread, while our tea is a superb single-estate Assam Tippy and our coffee is freshly-made Colombian served in a cafetiere. We also offer decaffeinated tea or coffee and a selection of herbal teas.

In the evening, there is always a  choice of fish, meat, poultry or vegetarian dishes which can be accompanied by a wide range of wines, spirits and beers. Although we do not insist that gentlemen wear a jacket and tie, we do ask for smart casual dress, i.e. no jeans or trainers. Children over the age of twelve may eat in the restaurant but it is expected that they will take a full portion. We cater for vegetarians and those with special dietary requirements.
